I have been in education for many years. I began my career teaching first graders in Perry County, Alabama.  After two years, the opportunity to teach in my hometown of Demopolis, Alabama was presented to me.  I was elated at the chance to give back to the place that had provided so much in molding me.  I remained in the Demopolis City School System teaching 4th and 5th grades for 11 years. Another professional opportunity then allowed me to serve as a K-8th grade school administrator in the Sumter County School District.  A family move brought me to the Hoover community.  I have been employed by Hoover City Schools as a math tutor, a reading and math intervention teacher - and now - an assistant principal.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and relaxing.
